Fragrance Concentration

Perfumes, whether for men or women, contain a fragrance concentrate (essential oils) diluted in a mixture of alcohol and water. In reality, the fragrance concentration percentage and its level of alcohol influence how long the scent lasts, and determine its category. There are four types of perfume with specific characteristics:

Eau de Cologne

This is the lightest, least persistent type of perfume. Its concentration varies from 2% to 5%. The product is fresh, invigorating and associated with a concept of cleanliness and freshness.

Eau de Toilette (EDT)

One of the most popular types of perfume, eau de toilette is perfect for regular, everyday use. Its concentration varies from 5% to 12%. The top notes make up half the fragrance. The perfumer places emphasis on the freshness and unfurling of the fragrance.

Eau de Parfum (EDP)

Sometimes called parfum de toilette or esprit de parfum, its concentration varies from 12% to 20%. Eau de parfum is long-lasting and remains for 5 to 10 hours. The middle notes make up most of the fragrance. The perfumer highlights these notes to enhance the perfume’s sparkle. More concentrated than eau de toilette, eau de parfum is generally more tenacious and leaves a stronger scent trail.

Perfume / Extrait

Also known as extrait de parfum, this is the most concentrated product. Its concentration varies from 20% to 40% in an extra-fine alcohol solution of 96%. This fragrance lasts longer than other types and is generally reserved for special occasions, especially for the evening and night. Base notes make up most of the fragrance. The perfumer places emphassis on the noble quality of the base notes to reinforce its tenaciousness and volume. A few drops of perfume applied directly to the skin, preferably on the pulse points, are sufficient to reveal its trail and intensity.

I came across this perfume on social media and heard a lot about it. Lot of people say it is masculine but I like it, I think it unisex as it says. This does not smell like any other perfume nor does it seem to be replicating another perfume. I personally own a collection of different Arabian oud and Tom Ford scents, and they are not alike, Oud Safrano is a perfume definitely don’t smell cheap and I see it competing with designer perfume. Oud Safrano is definitely value for money, this is a no brainer, I have spent over £200 on perfumes on EDP, and when they still have the slight upper hand due to the brand label, this Arabic oud, on the other hand, is offering a high class product a pure Extrait De Parfum in a quarter of the price you pay for designer perfumes so this is indefinitely worth every penny.

I am now on my 2nd bottle I read and heard the positive reviews about Oud Safrano perfume. All l can say is that every time I wear this oud perfume frag and that's most days, I never tire of endless compliments, I have a good collection of scents and this one gets all the attention. So who cares what it is or isn't I say get over your self and just wear it. This Arabic oud perfume smells fantastic and lasts all day strangers regularly approach me to ask what I wear so just buy it and enjoy the compliments. The price you pay is worthy.

Got this delivered yesterday morning, it is an amazing Arabic perfume, it is a masculine oud perfume I would say, in any case long-lasting men's fragrance in a beautiful, noble-looking glass bottle with gold, the packaging is really lux. Oriental, almost a little sweet, woody looking masculine. A fragrance with which men stand out in everyday life and which can quickly become addicting. This Extrait perfume sits on your skin for the whole day an, I can definitely confirm the duration. Regarding the seasons, I would think that this fragrance is more suitable for autumn and winter. Spring and summer not before, it's too woody for me. Its worth the money than any designer labels.

My boyfriend told me that this is his new favourite perfume.....imagine my horror when I discovered that it is not any big high street band. This oud perfume is amazing its got all the notes of " Oud For Greatness" by Initio, this is even better in concentration than oud for greatness which is an EDP and Oud Safrano is Exrait Perfume. the price is much much chapter than Initio, I would say it is a bargain. Delivered in super quick time and as soon as I sprayed it, it reminded me my travel to Dubai. Thank you very much Oudh Shop.
